Client List

Our footage has aired on national outlets including NBC, ESPN, National Geographic, Spike TV, the Big 10 Network as well as numerous scientific and local media outlets. It has also been featured in commercials for K-Swiss and Real ID.

Our work for NBC Sports as the sole underwater camera for the Ford Ironman World Championship was recently nominated for a National Emmy Award in the camerawork category. We find out in April if we won.

Dive Experience

Craig was certified as a SCUBA diver at the age of 12 in 1986 and has logged over 5000 hours of dive time since. He is a PADI divemaster and worked as a dive guide from 1996-1997 in Palau. His work as a cameraman and scientist has taken him on expeditions to the most remote corners of the world's oceans. Locations where he has dove include: American Samoa, Bonaire, Borneo, the British Virgin Islands, the Cook Islands, Guam, Hawaii (including the remote Northwest Hawaiian Islands), Indonesia, Johnston Atoll, the Line Islands, Malaysia, the Maldives, the Marshall Islands, Mexico, the Northern Marianas Islands, Palau, Papua New Guinea, the Phoenix Islands, Pohnpei, Thailand, Wake Atoll, Yap and more. No location is too remote, and no travel conditions are too arduous.

Equipment

Craig shoots with a Panasonic HVX200 which records to P2 cards in the broadcast standard DVCProHD format. This rig is capable of a huge array of resolutions and frame rates and produces especially beautiful 24p footage at 720 or 1080.

We edit on Avid Media Composer but can also assist with P2 issues if your project is on Final Cut.

Science

Our scientific expertise seperates us from the rest of the underwater production houses you may consider hiring. As a biologist Craig has worked for NOAA, the US Fish and Wildlife Service, the University of Hawaii, the New England Aquarium, the Pacific Marine Resource Institute, the American Samoa Department of Marine and Wildlife Resources, NRAS, the Palau International Coral Reef Center, the Nature Conservancy, the Hawaii Institute of Marine Biology, and more. He has a Master's Degree in Zoology from the University of Hawaii and is currently finishing his PhD in the same program where he is investigating the biogeography of coral reef fishes throughout the Pacific. His expertise in fish taxonomy and ecology ensures that when he is filming for you, he has an intimate understanding of his subjects.
